Carnaby students were treated to a special presentation by Rebecca Adam, CEO from Access Plus (previously known as WA Deaf Society) discussing the work Access Plus and Auslan do within the community. Ms Adam was accompanied by interpreter Fiona Perry who you may have seen interpreting for Mark McGowan on the news! Local Member of Parliament Margaret Quirk also attended the presentation. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students ,who are themselves learning Auslan, to ask questions and gain insight. Our students concluded the presentation by singing and signing the ‘Rainbow’ song to our special guests who were very impressed.
